Sisterhood
Temple Sinai Sisterhood is about connecting with each other, with our Temple Sinai family, being proud to be a part of it and supporting it every step of the way. When asked, the answer is “Hineni” and we’re there; whether it’s assembling Shalach Manot goodies for Purim or creating a meaningful Sisterhood Shabbat. We stay connected with our communication network called sinaisisters@gmail.com. Staying connected is, also, having a good time at our annual Kick-Off event. What Jewish women’s organization program is not centered around food? At our annual Paid Up Membership brunch, we bring our own culinary specialty.
Just before Chanukah, Sisterhood collects toys and gifts from our members and Temple Sinai family as well, for clients of Jewish Family Services. An ongoing project is G’milut Chasadim, collecting personal items of immediate need for women clients of Jewish Family Services. All year long our Gift Shop, located in the school building, offers a variety of Judaica items, consistent with holidays, and others for gift giving or just to enhance your home. Since we offer other different events throughout the year, it’s usually easy to find something that will appeal to everyone. We’re also a part of a larger family – Women’s League for Conservative Judaism [WLCJ]. On a regional and national level, it provides us with a wealth of opportunities for learning and nurturing our spiritual growth, both through onsite locations and online. WLCJ is one of the major supporters of the Jewish Theological Seminaries, the learning institutions for our rabbis, cantors and educators. Our Sisterhood does this throughout the year, culminating with a Torah Fund luncheon late spring. Join to connect with us; give us the opportunity to get to know you. Attached is an application so we can reach you.
