It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the Kasselman Early Childhood School at Temple Sinai of Hollywood!  We have a great and exciting year planned for you and your families as we are working very hard in making this year the most memorable of all.  We hope that through the year you will help us by supporting our school and creating a community where our children can grow in a fun and safe environment.
We would like to introduce to you the Temple Sinai of Hollywood’s Parents’ Association (PA) for 2008-2009.  The PA  is organized by our pre-school families for the purpose of supporting our school by coordinating fundraising events, providing social & educational events for our parents and families, serving as an informational forum for our parents to discuss issues, as well as being the voice for the school on the Temple Sinai of Hollywood Board of Governors.

As you can see, the PA serves many purposes within the life of our preschool family.  In fact, the past few years we have embarked on a major project to improve our playgrounds at our school, which we proudly refer to as the Playground Enhancement Project (PEP).  We have raised considerable amounts of funds and with your help we can meet our goals by adding a new water playground for our children, and purchasing new outdoor toys for our children to play.

In addition to PEP, the Parents’ Association uses the funds raised from special events for our children and our wonderful teachers.  All of our events are designed with the goal of providing our pre-school families with a fun and memorable experience at the Kasselman Early Childhood School.  Some of the many exciting fundraisers we have planned include our Scholastic Book Fair, Children’s Chanukah Shoppe, Family Fun Night, and our famous annual Character Brunch & Raffle.  We believe that being a family should be an integral part of our curriculum, so in addition to our fundraising efforts, we have many mitzvah projects, Family Shabbat Services, and Parenting Workshops designed to enhance your experience at the Kasselman Early Childhood School.  Please refer to the school calendar for exact dates and times of our exciting events, so we hope you can join us and share in the fun.

Our success is dependant upon the commitment, devotion, and vision of all our pre-school Parents.  Our PA Board is working hard to make this year a memorable one for all our parents.  So please come join us at the PA Meetings on the first Wednesday of every month and see how you can get involved.  Our ears are open to your ideas, suggestions, and concerns.  We hope that you will get involved and become an essential part of your child’s school and education.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
