GRADUATION SHABBAT
When: MAY 15, 2010
What: Celebration of High School Graduates and College Freshmen
This 3rd annual event is designed to allow the congregation to cknowledge, compliment and bestow an honor on two wonderful groups of young adults: High School graduates and College freshmen.
What a marvelous opportunity for the community to convey its most profound admiration to a group of inspired and dedicated young adults that successfully completed high school. You have matured into fascinating and captivating individuals. And as you chart that important rite of passage into higher education, you should know your Temple family is proud of your considerable achievements.
Also, for those aspiring College students that have concluded their freshman year, we request your involvement in this memorable program. We desire to recognize and acclaim your diligence and devotion to furthering your education. The Graduate Shabbat service is designed for full student involvement. You are urged to participate in the service in whatever capacity you wish to do.
Temple Sinai is the only Conservative Synagogue in Broward County that has established a Shabbat specifically designed to honor High School graduates and College Freshman. This inimitable program is both unique and distinctive. We urge families to sponsor all or a portion of the kiddush planned for this wonderful event.
We would like to end with a quote from the book Tuesdays with Morrie, "Devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning." Please communicate your availability with either Lisa Cohen (l_stein_cohen@bellsouth.net / 954- 989- 5631)or Mal Golden (malgolden6@aol.com /(954- 966- 3911).
